I knew Roz when I was growing up in Drummondville and will always remember her wonderful sense of humour...and how she could always make her friends laugh. Sadly, we lost touch over the years but the last time I saw her was at a birthday party 15 years ago for another Drummondville friend and it was as if no time had passed - her friendly smile and warm hug was who she was. Roz was a quiet, gentle lady and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this very difficult time. It was such sad news to receive about Roz passing away. Roz and Jack, J.P., Jim and Bill are more like family than some family. When we were young we thought they were as we called them Uncle Jack and Aunt Roz! The family we choose! I cherish the memories of all the vacations spent together camping or visiting each others' homes. Their door was always open. You were always expected to stay at their place........never in a hotel, when passing through! And, they always fed you, even if you already ate....lol. We did stay in a motel "once"! It was our first visit to Smiths Falls and we didn't want to be a bother. Well, we all joked about this motel after that one stay at what we now refer to as Motel Hell! We were so pleased that they were able to share in our daughter's graduation from R.M.C. as Jack was Kim's Godfather! Having served in the military, Jack, as well as Roz, was just as proud as we were to share in the big day! We always tried to stop in to have a pleasant visit with Roz after Jack's passing whenever we were passing through. One of my most cherished moments with Roz was when we went to pick her up in Smiths Falls and brought her home to Angus to visit with us for a couple of days. We told her we were going for a scenic drive on one of those days and drove to the Collingwood area so she could visit her brother Jim's gravesite. She had told us one time that she never got the opportunity to go visit Jim's grave and we were determined to get her there. It was such a small thing to do on our part but it meant the world to Roz! I will never forget the look on her face when we finally told her where we were going that day! Roz, you will be missed, just as we all miss Jack and J.P., but you will never be forgotten! Too many good memories............. Bill and Jim and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Roz..............I picture a huge smile on your face as you are reunited with Jack and J.P. I was quite shocked and saddened to hear of Roz's passing. I have been cleaning her place for quite a while. She was more then a client. We regularly had chats about each others lives. Quite enjoyable chats, I might add. She was quite a nice lady, who loved her sons dearly.. may she now rest in peace with her beloved husband and dear son. Eva Edwards
