Greg, Camilla and Chris, Terry and I are so sorry we missed the passing celebration of your mom. We treasured her quiet personality and stamina and dedication to all of you. I remember her at soccer fields but most recently at the Perth Library where we would share stories of her visits to Japan and catch up on all your life adventures. Her intellect was subtle and confident, her pose gentle and caring. We admired her greatly. Another great reason to be Perth Proud.

Dear Canuel family,
My heart goes out to you at this very difficult time. I didn’t know your mother, but I knew Jim. We were friends at Queen’s, and I remember sitting beside him at Convocation in 1984. He was a great guy, so kind and happy and thoughtful, and I’m not surprised to learn here that he had a wonderful mother. Please accept my sincere condolences on her passing.
Sincerely, David Carruthers

Dear Greg, Camilla , and Chris,
I am so so sorry to hear of this news upon my return to Canada. We were in Mexico from March 6-13. I have not seen Mrs. Canuel in years but my memories are very vivid and very fond . She was a very soft spoken and gentle loving spirit. When she did see me, she always knew who I was. I have wonderful memories of both of your parents as Mr. Canuel taught me grade 9 history . I am extremely fortunate to see and speak to my parents most days . I can not imagine how you feel . I know Greg the least but know Camilla and Chris better as they frequented house party's at the " Munroe's " - my home during our high school years. Just know my heart is heavy for you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you all . You had great parents who made great children. You all are very lucky to have one another - that was their gift to you .
Love to you all ,Lisa Saunders( nee Munroe )

Our deepest condolences to Camilla ,Greg , Chris and families. We met your family in 1967 when Roy taught at PDCI . Your Mom and Dad welcomed us into your home , often for one of your Mom’s pot roasts. There we met you children and that was a real treat for us . We left Perth in 1971 but always kept in touch , either on return trips to Canada , or through you children visiting us in the UK . Your Mom was such a wonderful person . A real lady ! She was always so welcoming to us and had a smile to melt a Canadian winter . We always exchanged Christmas cards and that made us feel that we were still in touch with your family . She will be greatly missed .

Dear Greg, Christopher, and Camilla ; so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Our families share some wonderful memories together ( mine of coarse include the tribulations of trying to babysit ... and I emphasize trying ). Your Mom will be missed and so will her infectious laugh. She always had a big hug and wonderful smile whenever we saw each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. With heartfelt condolences , Patricia Burke Carr

Our block of Drummond Street, East has lost a kind and gentle neighbour. The planting of our front flower garden will not be the same this spring without Marilyn stopping over for an inspection and praises. Marilyn joined Doug & I and numerous friends for a meals (and maybe a wee glass of wine) after we watched the kilt run on those years when the run passed by our homes. Marilyn kept all entertained with her many stories and jokes. Anne-Marie & Doug Nixon
