Obituary of Mary Aurelie Labonte
Mary passed away peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side on March 29th, 2020 at the age of 79. She will be deeply missed by her husband Leonard "Len" Labonte. Cherished mother of Kim and Brad (Veronica) Silverthorn. Loving grandmother of Jake, Amanda (Sean), Natalie, Eryn (Josh), Alyana and great-grandson Rowan. Predeceased by her parents Adam and Mary (nee Murphy) Tolmie. She is survived by her sister Patricia Harnden. Mary will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. A special thank you to Father Rod McNeil who had taken the time to check on Mary and Len and who continues to offer support to Len. We would also like to thank Dr. Boudewijn "Bob" Van Noppen for all of his care and warmth - your compassion with Mary was greatly appreciated. Due to the current restrictions, the service will be held privately. If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity very close to Mary's heart, The Covenant House.
Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little-but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me-but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.
