Hello my name is Doug Heffernan: I worked with Bob at Rolphe, Clarke and Stone(later called Shorewood Packaging) some 39 years ago. I was only there for a short time but I did meet and like Bob very much, he was a very nice person and if I'm not mistaken we shared a common interest in hunting and fishing(like I said it was 39 years ago)! I am very sorry for your loss. Sincerely,
Doug Heffernan

We are saddened by the passing of my uncle Bob. We are going to miss spending all of our special occasions together celebrating as a family. You will be greatly missed by me (Cindy) my husband Denis, great niece Sarrah and great nephew Tyler. As for those drop by visits just to talk and tell us about your hunting stories at the cabin then showing us all your pictures, will be missed dearly. It saddens me to have to say goodbye to you, uncle Bob on a website, as we have not been given the opportunity to do so in person. You can rest in piece and be with your beloved, Rose. You will be missed by us all. Your Loving niece Cindy Jackson-McCarthy

Bob, who we all called Magoo, was a great friend and one of the nicest people you could ever know. If you needed something and Bob had it, it was yours. If he didn't have it he would get it for you. A skilled hunter, fisherman and lover of the outdoors, Bob was the kind of guy you could learn a lot from. The woods and lakes around Salmond's camp will seem empty without him. Knowing him and spending time with him was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. He leaves a hole in my heart.
My sympathy goes out to his family and all of those who called Bob their friend.

Condolences to Bob's Family
I worked with Bob years ago at Rolph Clark Stone(Shorewood). Bob was always playing jokes and was one of the nicest guys, I remember when he got Rose her diamond for Christmas and had wrapped it up in cigarette packages and tape from work, He always asked me to dance at the company Christmas parties and made sure everyone had fun. You are now joined with your beloved Rose. To Bob's family , may your memories of Bob sustain you through this difficult time and keep him close to your hearts.

Bob (“Magoo”) was passionate about the outdoors and was a valued member of the Tin Camp (at Mackle Creek) for nearly 35 years. It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts that we the members say so long for now, dear friend. May all your days going forward include Rose at your side. We can never thank you enough for the memories you leave behind. Our sincerest condolences go out to Bob’s family. We love you dear friend.

Oh Bob. It was just like you to make light of just how ill you were when I was talking to you last Saturday. We’ve known each other all our lives - you were born 4 days after me, so we shared the hospital nursery together. You and my brother Doug were very good friends during our Harper Condie Days, and it seemed like you were always at our house being the big tease. Many the hours I spent with you and Rose. When I finally got a car back in the mid ‘70’s, I would rush home to Smiths Falls on a Friday night, and spend the whole weekend with you two. Although things changed over the years, and we drifted apart, I never stopped loving you both. So, now you have gone on your final journey, and have joined your beloved Rose. I’m sure she welcomed you with open arms. Rest in peace, and please give Rose a big hug for me.
To the Fisher family, I give my sincere condolences - I know you all loved Bob very much. I also offer my sincere condolences to his sister Donna, and her husband Wayne.
HUGS to all.

So sad to hear of Bobs passing. He was such a sweet man. I had the pleasure of working with Bob at Shorewood for many years and I’ll never forget him. Every year on Valentine’s Day he would buy every woman there a single red rose. Thinking of the family during this difficult time.
