Ted, Joan, Sally, Christine,
Our hearts go out to you. As next door neighbors in Dartmouth Kathy and I go back a long way. We spent hours messing about in our backyards writing and acting plays, making plaster of Paris figurines, building tents, coralling leeches, having picnics on the flat rock. What an enriching childhood we had! It seems incredible that so many years have passed. I know that Ted and Kathy were so lucky to have found each other and I hope Ted that you’ll stay in touch. And I know that Kathy was very happy with the life they made for themselves in Perth. We are so sorry for your loss. We’ll all miss her.

Our sincere sympathy to Ted and to Kathryn’s family. Our hearts ache with yours and for you. Andre and I feel blessed to consider Kathryn and Ted cherished friends. Over the years we have enjoyed so many wonderful times together. Kathryn would look at you with a twinkle in her eye and a big smile. Her smile was exquisite as she talked about her beloved Teddy. She was always so welcoming. Over the years we have enjoyed many meals and musical events together. Kathryn and Ted could host a dinner party or a Y&R Potluck without a fuss. Organizing was one of Kathryn’s gifts, whether it was all of the decadent desserts for the Church dinner or the Mom to Mom Sale or the bridge and euchre fundraiser etc. Kathryn did it with confidence. Once a month she happily came to help with the 3-5-year-old Sunday School students in my class. She greeted the children with her warm smile and happily helped them do crafts or whatever was needed. Kathryn was always stylishly dressed. Kathryn was such a special lady. May we all strive to honour Kathryn by becoming more like her. We have been blessed to have shared life with her. We are here for you Ted as you walk on without your beloved Kathryn.

Kathryn was a wonderful person. She was a hugger, & always had a lovely smile to greet you. Thoughtful, always putting others first. Kathryn was my Rock when she lost her brother Doug in Smith Falls in a boating accident ten years ago. Ted you were very fortunate to have had so many special years with her.
Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved,& will be greatly missed.
Love Carol

Dear Aunt Kathy was a role model to many and had great strength to overcome many challenges in her lifetime. My heart truly breaks for my cousins', Christine and Cara. Kathy was your rock in good times and bad times. She was the one of the nicest and caring person I have ever met. I always enjoyed her visits to Nova Scotia, or ours to Mississauga!
Ted, you have lost your partner in crime! 35 years is more than many have the privilege to enjoy together. Treasure the time you had together. With your strength and family around you, you will persevere.
All our love, Susan (Finigan) & Willie Sears and family, Fredericton, NB

I am feeling sad at the passing of my best friend’s (Christine Campbell MacKenzie) mother. She was always very kind to me even way back in the day when Christine and I were crazy and at times trouble making teenagers. I always saw her as a nice fun and respectful lady.
She will be missed by many.
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
