Stay strong Kathy and Judy during this difficult time for both you and your families. Wayne was a kind man and I remember when he spoke kind words of both our Dad and Mom when our Mom passed away. My sister and I first meet Wayne and Arlene back in the seventies when they moved in on Lavinia St and later to Marsha Dr. Wayne got my Dad onto the golf course a few times to introduce him to the game and my Dad feel in love with the game even though his health prevented him from actually playing.

Dear Kathy, Judy and families,
We are forever grateful for our longstanding friendship with our beautiful friends Wayne and Arlene Young.
I treasure the many visits and wonderful conversations over coffee and tea on Marsha Drive. Wayne and Arlene would drop everything, (including a movie Wayne would likely be well into), so that we could have a special visit.
Wayne’s perspective on life offered happiness in every way. While others lament harsh winters, Wayne enjoyed every season because he could both golf and curl. He never had an “off season”. He always seemed to be enjoying what he was doing and at the same time looking forward to what he would be doing next. It is a great way to live life and something I reflect upon often.
There are people that we hold very close to our hearts, who have made a difference and who have inspired us on our journey. Wayne and Arlene Young, along with our beautiful neighbours on Marsha Drive have made an imprint that will stay with us forever.
Well done dearest Wayne. You lived an honourable life. You worked hard and were a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend. Give a big hug to Arlene and our Marsha Drive family from all of us.

Wayne was the beloved dad of my daughter in-law Judy.He welcomed our entire family into his own.He and my late mother had fun conversations about the “old days”and she thought he was a lovely gentleman.My late husband and Wayne shared a love of golf and I remember a game he and Arlene and Joe and I had at the Smiths Falls GCC.They we’re very patient while Arlene and I were pretty pathetic with our game.He will be missed and I hope he and Arlene are having a wonderful reunion.Micheline McKeown.
