Dear Edythe, Barbara Ann, and Beverley,
I got to know Thorpe, a few years ago while I was working at a local business. He was such a kind, gentle giant of a man. He made me laugh with some of his great stories. These stories covered everything from his adventures as a school bus driver ,to being a farmer baling hay, fixing tractors and milking cows! It was plain that he loved his life as a farmer. He always spoke affectionately of his two daughters, his grandchildren and his wife.. A real class act!
My sincere condolenscences to all of you. He will greatly missed by so many.
Sincerely,
Sheila Spence.
