I am so sad to learn of Sarah's passing. I worked with her from afar via a partner organization (I live in the U.S. and I have not met Sarah in person) but even through email I experienced her warmth, compassion, and dedication to her work. I was also fortunate enough to learn about her family through friendly email exchanges and her love and adoration for her family was very apparent. Sarah was one of the most helpful, kind, and compassionate people to work with. She will be greatly missed by our organization. Sending love and warmth to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

I will remember Sarah as one of the most ‘positive’ people I have met, always cheerful and kind. She was an example to all of us at work. She was also amazingly good at her job, knowing so much information at her fingertips and being so considerate of each client. She will be remembered by many as the ‘voice’ of CaGBC, on the other end of that phone line. She made her mark on us and will be missed. Deepest condolences to her family and friends. - Colleen

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and her big personality for 8 years at the Canada Green Building Council. Every day was a pleasure whether interacting with Sarah on a deadline delivery or just listening to her impart the wisdom of green buildings to callers on the phone. Sarah was always the ultimate professional and she will be greatly missed by the members and her colleagues/friends at CaGBC. And, Sarah was a lover of life, family, good books, good movies and NCIS - I will miss the stimulating conversations with Sarah and my heart goes out to the whole family but especially Emily and Andrew who have lost their adoring older sister.

Sarah was a ray of sunshine, such a fun person to be around and brightened everyone's day with her ever-present smile and cheery presence. Working with her at CaGBC, it was clear how much she loved life and people, and how full of joy she was. Always helpful and with a can-do attitude, she brought so much positivity to everything she did and was so welcoming and friendly to me and everyone around her. I will miss impromptu dance parties at her desk, breaking out into random song, discussing pop culture and talking in the office kitchen at breakfast time. My deepest sympathies to the family, and wishing you all strength and comfort at this very difficult time. Sarah will leave a very big hole in the universe but she also leaves behind so many wonderful memories of the lovely person she was. I will miss you, Sarah. - Krystle

Sarah was the warmest, most caring of people. She always greeted me with a smile and a bit of conversation, even if it was the tenth time that we crossed paths that day. Visitors to the office would almost always comment on the friendly reception they were given by Sarah, and I was always amazed by the caring and patience she showed customers. We can all aspire to be a bit more like Sarah.

Sarah will always be the brightest light at the office. Problem solver extraordinaire and friend to everyone, she took notice of all the details and was able to answer almost every question. She has the biggest heart and greatest smile and most infectious laugh. She found joy in all things and made sure everyone else could too. I will cherish my vintage peacock bracelet and framed sparkles she chose for me.
