Obituary of Ryan Alexander Ada-Lacroix

Ryan Ada-Lacroix tragically passed away September 21, 2020 at the young age of 35. Ryan was the best friend, heart and soul to his mother Susan (John Doherty). Ryan is also survived by his love Đào Nguyễn, his grandmother, Elizabeth Ada, uncle Stephen Ada, aunt Diep Nguyễn and very special cousin Davy Ada whom Ryan adored and cherished. Ryan also had a multitude of friends, with his closest being Sandy Somerville whom he tragically lost this year and Simon Bertrand who has continued to be so close to Ryan. Ryan's grandfather, the late George Ada (in 2005), was like a father to him.

Ryan's paternal grandparents, the late Pat and Rene Lacroix were very important to him. Ryan's second mother, Debi McEwen was also much loved. He was known as a gentle giant to all who loved him. He was a go-to technology wizard and lived life to the fullest, always staying positive and looking out for those who had barriers in life. A celebration of life will be held once the Covid 19 restrictions are loosened. In the meantime, a portion of Ryan's ashes will be buried with his beloved grandfather and when Covid 19 travel restrictions are lifted, a portion of Ryan's ashes will be spread over the marginal way in Ogunquit Maine. Ryan vacationed yearly in Maine with his mother and loved the ocean and feel this has special meaning during such a difficult time. Ryan would have wanted anyone considering memorial donations in his name, be sent to CHEO, which is where he started the first 10 days of his life.
