How do you say goodbye to such a grand lady such as Ella. She was one of the most kind, loving individual I've ever had in my circle of friends. She was so appreciative when I would pick her up to take her to the euchres at the Bolingbroke Hall or bring her to our monthly seniors meetings. It was such a small gesture on my part but for Ella, it was really special. We formed a very loving friendship over the years she was in my life. Every time I visited her at Lombardy she always had to ask me how my sister, Gloria was doing because she worried about her. She enjoyed my visits when I would surprise her without calling first. On one visit, she was telling me about the stand on her stand-up mirror got broke and it was difficult for her to use it to comb her hair. The next time I visited her, I took her a new one and you would have thought I gave her a thousand dollars. Another time at Easter, I took her and some of the other ladies I was acquainted with each an little Easter bunny. That bunny was on her bed every time I went in to see her. She was so beautiful inside and out and you just wanted to give her BIG hugs. They had to be gently though because she was so frail.
Ella, you know you were loved by all who knew you. You will be missed but know we will meet again. I know you will be watching over us as our sweet angel. Love you forever. R.I.P. dearest friend.
My sympathies to the families. She was one in a million, never to forget.
