Schomberg, Roy Paul

Roy passed away peacefully in the Perth hospital on Sunday, October 18th, 2020 at the age of 71 years.  He was the loving husband of Doris (Merkley) Schomberg.  Roy was the cherished father to Jason, Justin (Tanya) and Austin Schomberg and stepfather to Karen Whan and Crystal (Craig) Smith.  He was the adored grandfather to Christopher, Jay-Lyn, Ocean, Devon, Whitney, Elektra, Ciara Schomberg and Oliver Smith.  He will be sadly missed by his siblings Linda (Terry) Kennedy, Carol (Earl) Northmore, Ronnie (Shelley) Peacock, Joanne (Mike) Langley, many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Roy was predeceased by his parents Ross and June (Green) Schomberg, infant son Warren and sister Debbie (Craig) Treneer.
Roy was a long time employee of the city of Kingston.  His family would like to thank the Perth Hospital staff, special thanks to the ICU department and Dr. Liu for all their compassionate care.  In remembrance of Roy, contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 1790 Courtwood Cres Ottawa, ON K2C 2B5 would be appreciated.  Due to COVID 19 restrictions, services are private for the family.  Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors.
