Our sympathies. The Charby Family always meant so much to Dear Ken. We remember visiting Martha on Halloween particularly and the girls often speak of the fun swimming in her pool.

To Dan and Darlene and families. What a beautiful picture of your Mom...it really captures the Martha I remember...except she isn't wearing a uniform....I too worked with her at the GWM in the late 70's and early 80's....A supervisor you could count on...I remember her laugh so well...she was a hard worker with a sense of humour and she knew what she was doing. It was always nice to meet up with her since then and have a chat. May she always be close in heart and never far from mind. May she rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to Dan,Darlene and families...I too like so many others worked night shifts at the GWM with Martha being the night supervisor..she was a wonderful nurse and role model....she talked about her family often and was so proud of her grandchildren....I will always have fond memories of Martha....May she soar with the angels ....

I remember your mother fondly. She was a caring compassionate nurse whose no nonsense manner was calming and welcome. Worked with her for many years and when I had one of my children she was there to support us. The GWM was better for having her. Donna Adam X-ray Department

So very sorry to hear of Martha’s passing, my condolences to all the family. Years ago when I worked in X-ray, and was on call, Martha would get the job of calling us in in the middle of the night, I would pick up the phone to hear ‘Charby here’, she was always pleasant and I liked her very much.

Mrs. Charby was with me during the labour and delivery of my daughter 46 years ago next week at the GWM. She was such a caring and loving nurse. I will never forget her. My deepest condolences on her passing to her family and friends. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult and sad time.

I remember Martha greeting me when I arrived at GWMH in the wee hours of the morning in labour and in a bit of distress. She was so calm, reassuring and compassionate. I will never forget her caring ,professional manner. My condolences. Kathy Devlin
