Obituary of Lawrie Rowland Powers
Lawrie passed away unexpectedly in the Perth hospital on Monday December 21st, 2020 at the age of 87 years. He was the dearly loved husband for 63 years of Joan (Carasso) Powers. Lawrie will be sadly missed by his daughter Kelly Powers (George Clement), grandson Devon Buxcey (Kaitlyn Schonauer), great grandson Liam Buxcey, sister-in-law Betty Hough, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by son Stephen Powers, sister Patricia Powers and parents Raymond and Matilda Powers. Lawrie spent many years as a steam fitter (Local 46) for Nicholls-Radtke Limited. His work included management of systems in the Ford automotive factory in Oakville. Upon his retirement, he and Joan moved to the McDonalds Corners where we he pursued for many years, his passion and love of farming.
Due to current covid-19 restrictions, the services will be held privately for the family on Tuesday December 29th, 2020 at 10:30 A.M.
