Obituary of Jim Taillon

Jim passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on February 15, 2021 in his 68th year with family by his side. Jim was predeceased by his parents Leo and Emma (Lagroix) Taillon, and his sister Maureen.  Jim was the beloved brother of Marilyn Taillon Pankow and JoAnne Taillon. He was a cherished uncle to Mark (Theresa) Pankow and Tracey (Fraser) Holmes. Jim was affectionately known as “Gruncle Jim” to Bryan, Kurtis and Patrick Pankow and Elizabeth, Andrew and Emma Holmes. Jim had a passion for music, sports cars, airplanes and family gatherings. He was a talented carpenter and loved to showcase his work at his cottage in Wolf Lake, QC. Jim had a diverse professional life which included working in the music industry during the 1980’s followed by decades in the aerospace sector in Canada and the U.S. Jim took great pride in his family and, in particular, following the many endeavors of his nieces and nephews. Jim was dedicated to his role as a sponsor of a child through World Vision Canada.  Jim will be sadly missed by family and friends. As per Jim’s wishes, there will be no service.
