I celebrated my first Canadian Christmas at Lorraine's home in Toronto with Micheal and Peggy. This was very much appreciated coming from Holland that year. Michael and Peggy taught me how to play canasta with their Grandma Mrs. Gladys Baker. When I retired we build a home in Meaford and and able to see Lorraine more often and enjoyed her hospitality. Our paths crossed when Lorraine married our friend, Tom. She was quiet, refined, generous, a superb cook, an excellent seamstress, and a help to many during her life. We will miss her. Lorraine was a special friend during our years in Midhurst and afterwards. We always enjoyed her graciousness, her great cooking and her delightful (yet shy) sense of humour.
