I loved playing cards with my grandpa at the lake. My best memories were at our camping spot on the Mississippi River with grandma and my mom. We had a great time fishing, playing card games, and roasting marsh mellows by the fire. I will always and forever remember Grandpa Strickland.

Our deepest sympathy to Ed's family. We enjoyed many good times with Ed and Hilda when they lived here in Elphin and have fond memories of bonfires and cooking hotdogs on the trails. They were so kind and fun to be with to our three kids. If you had a break down, Ed always had the tools to fix your machine. I had a chat with him a year and a half ago in Ottawa in a restaurant with his friend before going to a play. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time of saying good-bye. Give each other a big hug. Bob and Elaine DeLisle of Elphin

We were sad to hear of Ed's passing. He was an honourable gentleman with a good sense of humour and we enjoyed spending time with him. We appreciated his carpentry skills when our home renovation required his service and expertise. We hope your fond memories will help you through your difficult time of grief.
Sincere condolences,
Alane and Bob

Ed was a tremendous individual and was loved by all that met him. Throughout his life he demonstrated great kindness, generosity and was always there to spend his time helping others. He was a great role model in so many ways for all the rest of us to try to emulate. There is no doubt that heaven has a new angel.
