Obituary of Heather Ann McDougall
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Heather McDougall of Smiths Falls on April 16, 2021 at the age of 70 years. Heather will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 42 years, John McDougall; her daughters Becky McDougall, Kerri McDougall, Jenna Thompson (Shea); her siblings Dick Loney (Zilla) and Kathy Graham (Ken), as well as her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Ina Hewitt (nee Lorimer), and her brother Michael Hewitt. Lovingly remembered by Gertie, her adored chihuahua. Heather lived a full life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved to cook and bake, play the piano and enjoyed her weekly aquafit classes at the Galipeau Centre and her time spent at the PEP program. She was an active member of the St. John Anglican Church in Smiths Falls. Her strong commitment to her religious faith was a comfort to her. She will be fondly remembered for her warm and caring nature, her kindness, generosity and love. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost, treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. The family extends thanks to the Brockville ACTT team staff who took great care of her and the kind staff at PEP for their care and compassion. She has gone to join her savior and there is no doubt that God will have a special place in heaven for her. A private service will be held for the family. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. John Anglican Church in Smiths Falls.
