My sincere condolences to the Faulkner family. It seemed Carl and I always had a way of crossing paths. It started as I grew up on Cheshire Road in Ottawa as neighbours, then fast forward to Mr. Faulkner refereeing both of my girls basketball games at PDCI where even my parents had visits with him from time to time. Then as time went on, I met Dianne at exercise class to find out we were once again neighbours living just behind me in the subdivision in Perth. It's a small world. Our sincere condolences to Dianne and the family. Kevin and I have many great memories of Carl during the times we all spent together on the ball fields coaching at Pinecrest Little League. Back in the early 1980s, I worked on the same floor as Carl at Transport Canada. It was Carl’s deep affection and great stories of his beloved baseball teams that got us interested in coaching and it was Carl who helped us get involved with Pinecrest as coaches before we had kids. We were grateful for the wisdom and guidance that Carl generously gave us as we began our baseball coaching adventure. Carl was quite the character and few knew the game better than him. We remember him fondly and know that even now he is filling out his line-up card and warming up his starting pitcher. Patti & Kevin Kuntz

Sincerest condolences to the Faulkner family on Carl's passing. I got to know Carl as a basketball referee during his many visits at St. John. He was admired and respected by everyone. Our players absolutely adored Carl. When he would walk into the gym you knew that it would be a good day. Carl would warm up by running down the sideline and then taking two-handed half court shots. I remember fondly the stories he would share with us about basketball, baseball and life in general. RIP Carl and thanks for the memories.

Very sorry for your loss, Dianne and family. It was always a pleasure to chat with Carl at the store in Clydesville when he was usually coming or going to basketball, baseball or with his dogs....he was always so very active and such a kind person. Our thoughts are with you all.

My most sincere condolences Dianne and family. I only met Linc a few times but looked forward to hearing stories from Dianne at quilting about his field trials with his dogs. She was just as proud of him as the trainer as she was of the dog’s performance.

I got to know Carl through basketball. He was my favourite referee as a player and later on during my coaching career. I remember Carl an excellent referee. He always treated the player’s and coaches with respect. Carl liked to entertain the kids with his halfcourt shot before the game started. RIP Carl, you will be missed. Leanne Watt
