Obituary of Sue Nichols

Nichols, Margaret Suzanne "Sue"

Sue passed away peacefully at Carolina Retirement Residence in Perth with her son and daughter-in-law by her side on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at the age of 76 after a good fight. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret (McLean) and James Wright, her brothers Norman and Terry Wright, and her beloved husband Robert "Bob" Nichols.
Sue is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Christina Nichols, and her cherished grandson Robbie. Her "furry kid" Bella will miss her dearly too. Sue is also survived by her Uncle, Frank (Eva) McLean of Fallbrook, sisters-in-law Claudette Wright of Perth, Sharon Wright of Newcastle and Marsha (Arthur) McNaughton of Kanata. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, family and many friends. Sue had a long career with the Ministry of The Attorney General, working for judges and Crown Attorneys alike, earning the respect of her colleagues for professionalism and friendship along the way. She will be sadly missed by the staff and her many friends at Carolina Retirement Residence, where she resided for the last almost 5 years. She truly felt at home there, and we are forever grateful for their caring and thoughtfulness to Mom, and to ourselves in the last while. We also wish to thank Dr.'s Liu & McGraw for helping us navigate a tough situation, Care Partners for their care and concern (especially Kelly & Victoria) and all nurses from Bayshore Home Health Care who came to see Mom on an almost daily basis, especially Lesli Richmond, whose advice over Mom's last few days was a great comfort to us. Sue loved Otty Lake, and we are grateful we were able to take her there prior to her final days to see the family home one last time. Due to COVID-19, services will be held privately for the family. Those wishing to view the service are invited to join via zoom link on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00am  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89882163759. A celebration of Sue's life will be held at a time when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, spend the extra time with your loved ones if you are able to do so. In remembrance of Sue, contributions to Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation at www.psfdhfoundation.com would be appreciated
