Obituary of Kay Irene Webb
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Kay, wife and mother, on Friday the 11th of June, 2021. Kay leaves behind to mourn her beloved husband John, and children Johnny and Sarah (Michael), as well as her family in England; her brothers Gary (Chris), Russell, and Robert. Predeceased by her brother Glenn. Kay has many nieces and nephews in England whom she loved dearly and was known to them as "Auntie Rene". England held a very special place in Kay’s heart. Born in Basingstoke, England on April 2, 1943 she emigrated with her husband John to London ON in 1965 where they had their children. Later moving to Smith's Falls in 1982, Kay spent many years working at both the Perth and Smith's Falls hospitals in admitting where she was known as "Kay darling" by her many friends. She loved flowers, gardening, books, and doing crafts, especially mosaics, and made many beautiful pieces for friends and family. Kay was ‘one of a kind’ with her compassionate and warm personality. She adored precious time with her family, we loved her so much and she was our everything. Our saying was “Que Sera Sera”. The family would like to thank the palliative team from Bayshore for their in-home support, as well as Kay’s family doctor, Dr. Riehl, who stepped up and went above and beyond to care for mom. Nurse Leah, with her gentle and kind nature, and Nurse Jenna who had a special relationship with mom and supported the rest of the family during a difficult time.
