Obituary of Michel Brazeau

Michel Chalifour-Brazeau

It is with great sadness and deepest sorrow that we are announcing that Michel (aka Mitch) Chalifour Brazeau passed away suddenly at the young age of 35 on Thursday July 8, 2021.

He is survived by his mother Elaine (Fred Cummings) and father Daniel (Darlene McGinnis) his aunt Carole Paré (Daniel Lalande), stepbrother Brian Cummings (Andrea Miller), step nephew and niece Declan and Cadence, stepsister Gina Sutton (Jason) and stepbrother Michael Ricciuto (Giulia) who has always been an inspiration and great comfort to Mitch throughout his life.  He is also survived by several step aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mitch was born with a strong sensitivity, had a beautiful and huge heart, and an amazing spirit.

He also had many passions and interests.

He loved to travel, play hockey on or off ice, work on anything that had a motor, and loved doing any different jobs to gain the experience, knowledge and expand his skill set.

As a young boy Mitch worked in a mechanics’ garage learning to troubleshoot and repair vehicles. He followed that by doing Co-Op work in a vehicle restoration and repair shop throughout High School. These early skills would prove invaluable for his motorcycles, snowmobiles and sports cars all built for speed.

He was a fast learner and had an innate understanding and respect for machinery and tools that he maintained and operated while working in various jobs in Ontario, Western Canada and Australia. Mitch mastered their operation and often trained and supervised others on all types of machines such as horizontal drilling machines, Terex articulating dump trucks, compactors and a number of landscaping equipment.

Mitch also loved working with electronics. He worked as a sales rep in one of the big box electronics stores and won many awards. He had the gift of the gab in speaking with customers and had an exceptional memory in remembering product details and demonstrating how they worked. He was able to convey this information to customers in an easy-to-understand language.

Another passion was his love for animals and in the last years Mitch was taking courses to become a veterinarian’s assistant.

Mitch may not have lived long but he experienced much of life.

We love you so much and we will miss you, but you will be forever in our hearts and in our thoughts.
