Obituary of Ross Arthur Dean

Ross Arthur Dean (September 10, 1944 – July 18, 2021)

Passed peacefully on July 18, 2021 at the Perth Hospital at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Nellie Dean (nee Catchpole), siblings, Elaine, Gerald, George, Joy and Sharon. Ross leaves behind his daughter Christina (Louis) and three grandchildren Noah, Destin and Ashton, siblings; Charlie, Gary, David, Albert, Richard, Debra and Randy, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ross loved country music, casinos, Clint Eastwood movies and fast cars. Ross was always willing to help a friend, was amazing at carpentry and could fix almost anything.  He was an exceptional roofer - just all around very handy! His passion was hunting rabbits with his brothers when they were younger, ducks with his nephews; along with hunting deer and quail.  A public visitation will be held at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith Street North, Smiths Falls on Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects. A private family service will be held and burial at Maple Vale Cemetery will follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
