Obituary of Evelyn MacLean

Passed with her family by her side on August 26, 2021 at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 79. Predeceased by her parents Keble & Minnie Davis (nee Hewitt), her brother Earl Davis, and her loving husband Richard MacLean. Daughter-in-law of the late Tommy & Lena MacLean. Evelyn leaves behind her daughter Shelley Strickland (Ron), grandchildren Josh (Melissa), and Melissa (Joel); her sister-in-law Jennifer Davis (Gomme); her niece Angie (Dave), nephew Adam (Natasha), and great-nephew Owen; her beloved cat Harry, and her many family and friends. Evelyn was a caregiver by nature; she treasured her family and was passionate about her career as a nurse. She loved baking and spending time with her friends, going for coffee and small adventures. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Blair & Son Funeral Home in Smiths Falls, 112 Beckwith St. N. A private funeral, by invitation only, will follow on Thursday September 2, 2021 with a live stream available on the Blair & Son website starting at 11am. If desired, memorial donations to the Kingston General Hospital – Critical Care Team, or to Furry Tales Rescue in Smiths Falls would be greatly appreciated.
