Obituary of Josephine Scott Young

Josephine passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge Care Community, Stittsville on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at the age of 97 years.   She was predeceased by her husband J. Stewart Young (retired, R.A.F. and R.C.A.F.), her parents Walter and Jessie (Westwood)  Wickware, step-son Dan Young, siblings Anne (Cam) Holt, Jim (Ruth) Wickware, Sheila (Alex) Curran, Clive (Iva) Wickware and nephew Peter Curran.  She will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Margaret Young, granddaughters Melina and Alison, great grandchildren Owen and Kayley, her only surviving sibling, brother Geoffrey (Joan) Wickware, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Due to current restrictions, the funeral service will be held privately for her family with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind    Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors,  Perth Ontario.
