My condolences to the family.
I will always remember John's care in preserving the MVCA's and the community's interest by keeping new buildings appropriately located so there was no danger of flooding in new developments.
John was also very helpful in assisting applicants meet the MVCA requirements in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
John was a pragmatic engineer who will be missed.

Hi Brenda, Drew and Laurel…. So sorry to hear about John’s passing. So sudden and we completely missed the notice from St James (not monitoring e-mail well enough), and feel awful about missing the funeral today. All of you were super helpful and we enjoyed our interactions and discussions at St James. He’ll be sorely missed and left us too young. Many condolences from Ted, Nick and Merry. It has been far too many years since I last saw John but as children we spent lots of time together as our families visited between Fonthill, Goderich and Big Bay Point. Another pearl of my youth is lost. Condolences to Brenda and family, and the Prices.

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of working with John as a member of the Peer Review and Implementation Committee (Section 28) for Conservation Ontario. John's engineering expertise and insights were very helpful in guiding our work. He was a great team member and will be missed by his friends at Conservation Authorities all across Ontario.

I was very sorry to hear about John's passing. John was always willing to patiently explain complex engineering concepts to me (a planner). He was obviously very committed to his work in engineering as well as to the conservation authorities. He will be missed.
