Defayette, Thomas R. “Tom”

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the age of 74.  Beloved husband and best friend of 51 years of Debera (nee Zappa).  Loving and devoted father of Travis (Sarah Beaubiah).  He is survived by his sister-in-law Sandra (O.J.), Tom's nephew Jason (Kyla), as well as his niece Amanda (Mark).  Tom grew up in the Ottawa area and was the son of Thomas and Solange Defayette.  Through the years, his family included his step-sisters Theresa, Alice, and Pauline and his step-brother Rodger.  Eventually Tom and Debera moved to Smith Falls, and have developed many great friendships over their 18 years living in the area.  Tom will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends in Smiths Falls, Ottawa and surrounding communities.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. L.
