Suddenly on Saturday, October 30, 2021, God called home one of his Angels when Brenda passed at home in her sleep at the age of 68.   She was the loving wife of James "Jim" McInnis for more than 37 wonderful years.  Together, they raised two beautiful children Ryan James Burton McInnis and Lindsey Allison Marie Marks (nee McInnis).  Brenda was so proud of her children and how they turned into such wonderful, thoughtful and exceptional adults. Lindsey married Phil Marks, and Brenda could not have been more proud to welcome Phil into the family. She was a doting grandmother to Lindsey and Phil's son Caleb Marks. On October 6, 2021 Brenda and Jim were present to witness Ryan's wedding to Ashley Crawford.  It was a perfect day and were able to enjoy an outdoor ceremony at their home in Quebec. Ryan could not have chosen a more sweet, charming woman to spend the rest of his life with. On the day of Ryan's wedding, Brenda once again was bursting with pride. Brenda and James were again thrilled to add one more person to the family. In addition to her immediate family, Brenda is survived by her loving sister Joan Cassell and so many extended family, Jim's entire family and so many friends. There will be a visitation taking place at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  A service to celebrate her wonderful life will follow in the Chapel on Monday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Due to current Covid restrictions, the family are asking all those attending must show proof of vaccination, along with government issued photo ID to gain entry to any and all of the events for Brenda.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute (https://foundation.ottawaheart.ca/make-a-donation/ways-to-give/).
