Obituary of Ron Pankow

Pankow, Ronald J.

Passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the age of 88.  Beloved husband and best friend for more than 62 years of Sheila (nee Smith).  Loving and devoted father of Ronald “Lee”(Crisi), and Rosemary  (Thomas) Hayes. Proud and cherished grandfather of Ronald, Raymond, Jared and Joel and great-grandfather of Mckenna.  Ron is the son of the late Alex and Madeline Pankow.  He will be sadly missed by his brothers Eddy, Jimmy (Gail), and George Pankow (Karen); and his sisters Ann Gillespie (late Heber), Rita (late Lawrence) Lackey and Helen (late Ron) Proctor, and is also predeceased by his brother Zannie and his sister Jennie Klosinski (late Lou).  He will be fondly remembered by Zannie’s wife Kathy, and his many nieces, nephews, Sheila’s entire family and extended family.  There will be visitation taking place at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  There will be a private family service to celebrate Ron’s life in the Chapel at a later date. Following the service, interment will take place at Wolford Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the  Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
