With heavy hearts we say farewell to Bob. He was greatly respected and loved by all his family and many others. He left us shortly after his 88th birthday and a short illness. Son of the late Clarence and Venita Black and the youngest of their four children, all now deceased. Loving husband of 32 years to his wife and cherished companion Helen, and he will be sadly missed after many travels and life experiences together. He had a long and productive life as a Geologist, Public Service Executive, International Development Executive, and volunteer in many ways before and after retirement. He was active in the Burgesswood Association, Charter Member and Past President of the Probus Club, and participated in many ways in his Church.

Bob loved his family, Peter (Cathy Coghlan) Black, Daniel (Alice Mills) Black, Lori Lawrence, Andrew (Cheryl Thomson) Black, and James Black. Step-Dad to Patricia (Paul Heaney) Pomeroy, Stephen (Christal) Pomeroy, and John Pomeroy. Loving and fun grandfather to Alison (Chad) Everest, Jessica (Chris) Coulas, Kristina (Alex Girard) Black, Kaitlin (Steve) Carlson, Conor (Karyne Michaud) Black, Carley (Jason Brimner) Lawrence, Mike (Leanne) Lawrence, Jodi (Paul Duncan) Lawrence, Andrea Black, Holly (Jacob) Belcourt, Step-Grandchildren Mason (Brianna Munch) Pomeroy and Chloe (Vinny Martino) Pomeroy and Great-Grampa to 14.
