Obituary of Blanche Elizabeth Hogan

Hogan, Blanche (nee Munro)

Passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of the late Douglas Hogan who passed away in 2014, and is also predeceased by her daughter Diana Lee in 1965.  She was a loving and devoted mother to Heather and Daniel Hogan and Lynda (Steve) Dowdall. Cherished grandmother and Mama to David Hogan, Brandon Martin, Danielle (John) Maxfield, Caitlyn, Cole Hogan, Randall, Morgan and Ashtyn Dowdall; great-grandmother to Tyler and Olivia Martin and Avery and Kinsley Maxfield.  Blanche is also predeceased by her parents Olive and Earl Munro, her brothers Carson and Delmer Munro, as well as her sister-in-law Wanda Munro.   She will be sadly missed by her siblings Phyliss (late Lorne) Dick, Elva (late Roy) Wilson, Doris (late Peter) O'Connor, Marilyn Drynan and Bobbie (Brenda) Munro, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Mom would like to send special appreciation to the Munro family, Terri Lyn, and her immediate family for their care, love and support during her last years.  Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the Chapel at 2 o'clock.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Due to current Covid restrictions, the family are asking all those attending must show proof of vaccination, along with government issued photo ID to gain entry to any and all of the events for Blanche. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Neonatal Unit (NICU) at the Kingston General Hospital, Canadian Diabetes Society, or the charity of your choice.
