We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Elwood. Both myself and Chris remember meeting him the first time at the Branch Artisans Christmas Show at the W.B. George Bldg., in Kemptville. Elwood and his wife Betty were a joy to meet and talk about his miniature cabinets and many toys he created. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Dear Betty Jean, Peter, and Tim,
It is with a heavy heart to write this. I am very sorry to hear of Elwood's passing. When I think of the Voteary family, I filled with so many memories. I remember the Meyer's and Voteary's getting together often throughpout my childhood. You were always welcoming and loving to us Meyer boys. When thinking about growing up and the people that had an influence on my life Elwood and Betty Jean hold a special place in my heart. I am the man I am today because of the Godly examples like Elwood that I had to look up to. Betty Jean please know that you are in my prayers and we love you very much. Elwood will truly be missed.

Dear Betty Jean and family, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Elwood had a remarkable talent for relating to young people, and had a positive influence on so many, myself included. I have so many good memories...including the first Sunday morning he pulled up in front of the Free Methodist church on McGill Street in that brand-new, bright red Mercury Cougar—Elwood went up several notches in this teenaged boy's esteem that day!

Dear Betty Jean, Peter and Tim:
My sincere condolences. Such great memories of Elwood in the Free Methodist Church. He had such a love for us young people and he was a true mentor to us all. I remember well the youth gatherings at Otter Lake and him showing off his water ski tricks. Always a great laugh and wonderful time of fellowship. He was a true servant and he shared the joy of the Lord to all. God bless you all.
