Michael was born September 26th, 1950 in Perth, he passed away suddenly at his home on Monday December 6th, 2021 at the age of 71 years.  He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Lois (Popplewell) McDaniel, sister Brenda “Lee” Spence, father-in-law F. Orval Adam and brother-in law James O. Adam.  He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 40 years, Helen Patricia (Adam) McDaniel, daughter Katrina McDaniel (John Boothby), son Adam (Jennifer) McDaniel, grandchildren Maddy, Jamie, Josie, Ronan, Boothby and Penelope McDaniel.  He will be sadly missed by his brother Steve (Brenda) McDaniel, brothers-in-law Dave Spence and Donald (Dianne) Adam, mother-in-law Marguerite Adam and sister-in-law Cary and their families.   

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Thursday December 9th, 2021 from Noon until 1:30.  The service will be held privately for the family with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lanark.

Mike was well known as the “Man on the Corner” at Craig and Gore Streets. He was a man of simple things in life.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you have a cup of coffee and watch the cars go by.

For those attending the visitation, proof of full vaccination (QR code)  or paper document is required, along with photo ID to confirm identity. Masks are mandatory and contact tracing information must still be provided.
