Obituary of Ken Winkenweder

Winkenweder, Charles Edward Kenneth (Ken)
Ken passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge in Perth on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the age 90.  Beloved husband of Nellie (Richardson) Winkenweder for over 33 years.  Loved father of Jeff (Lill) Winkenweder, Rob (Judy) Winkenweder, Heather (Todd) Winkenweder, David (Mary) Winkenweder and step-father of Valerie (Mark) Davies, Stephen (Shannon) Richardson, Louise (Simon) Benwell and Ann (Gary) Marion.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Josh, Katie (Jordan), Fasika, Hilina, Ryan (Paige), Kurtis (Brooke), Brooke (Taylor), Chrissie (Chris), Dane (Jen), Rylan, Aidan, Hannah, Annick and Natalie and his great-grandchildren Oryanna, Jaxson, Ben, Zach, Levi, Tyler, Carter, Camden, Tatum, Ronan and Hank.  Predeceased by his parents Milne and Luella (Wilker) Winkenweder.  Ken and his dad founded The Falls Lumber Company.  He was actively involved in many organizations throughout the community most notably organizing the Rideau Ski Club for over 35 years.  Ken will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and many good friends.  Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 2 George St. S., Smiths Falls on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment, St. John’s Cemetery.  In memory of Ken, donations to St. John’s Anglican Church or the C. N. I. B.  would be appreciated.
