Our sincere sympathy to all of Brien's family. I enjoyed reading all about Brien's life. His sister, Verne, introduced me to Brien about 45 years ago. She told me that Brien received his name Brien as this was his Mother's maiden surname. I was so happy when Brien would ask me to dance. Over the years we enjoyed many wonderful visits, many of them as Brien was boiling sap or at the Maplefest. May all of you cherish your memories as you celebrate a life well lived. Blessings to all of you.

Paul and Irene Hamilton posted a condolence
Wednesday, December 15, 2021
Paul and Irene Hamilton offer our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to Kathy, Wayne and Darrell, and to your families, at the passing of Brien Paul. Over fifty-five years ago, what began as a business relationship between Brien and Marion and our parents, Ex and Mary Hamilton, quickly became a personal and family friendship that extended many years as long as our parents were alive. Even Kathy, Wayne and Darrell, the three Paul children, were of a similar age to the three Hamilton children, Paul, Irene and Pat. Our family always looked forward to get togethers with the Paul family and enjoyed seeing the ongoing development and expansion of their family's maple products enterprise. We remember being led into the woods to see the first pipeline system that was installed and also the new reverse osmosis equipment and the building that was erected to house it. One year, in the mid-1960's, in our home in Smiths Falls, we even enjoyed a Christmas tree that was a surprise gift delivered by Brien and Marion. Remembering those times, we realize that our own lives were blessed and our family experience was enriched by the good natured kindness, comfort and friendship of knowing the Paul family. May Brien and Marion, together again, Rest In Peace.

Our sincere condolences to the entire family on the passing of a life well lived. What a legacy he leaves for future generations of what one man can accomplish with hard work and family support. Thankfully, we will still enjoy his delicious maple syrup as your family carries on the great tradition. May he now rest in eternal peace.

Very sorry to hear of Brien's passing. The extended Paul family; among them Brien, were some of the first people I met and who welcomed me when moving to Hood in 1988. Lots of fond memories of the Sugar Camp. I hope those moments and other cherished times provide some comfort in this sad time. Take care.

On behalf of myself, and brothers Blaine and Brett, I want to offer our condolences to all of the family. Brien will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jim Paul and I sometimes rode our bikes up to Brien's farm in the spring on the muddy roads to help gather sap for the day. Work was steady, but breaks were often too, and Marion always fed us well before we headed back to Lanark.
