Obituary of Neil Mahon

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and support of his family, at home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the age of 89. 

Beloved husband and best friend of the late Joyce Mahon (nee Smith).  Loving and devoted father of Lynne (Wally) Mahon-Piffl. Proud and cherished grandfather of Isabelle and Benjaman.  Neil will be sadly missed by his brother Jerome (late Maureen) and is predeceased by his siblings Joseph (Nora) Mahon, Agnes (Vincent) Fitzgerald, Irene McGrath, Russell (Leona) Mahon, Allan (Lois) Mahon, and Arnold Mahon. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Barbara Mahon, his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Visitation will take place at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place, next to his beloved Joyce, at Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Lombardy. Please note that proof of both doses of the Covid 19 vaccination will be required to attend the visitation at Blair & Son on Sunday, as well as any reception events following the interment on Monday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Smiths Falls Food bank or the local charity of your choice.
