Dear Donna and family
Although we have never met I want to send my deep condolences to you on the loss of your husband Stephen last August. I just found out about it otherwise I certainly would have come to the Funeral if I had known.
I got to know Steve well over the 13 years I have done business with Smiths Falls Hyundai. I bought 5 vehicles from him over that time and have kept returning to the dealership even though my wife and I moved to the other side of Ottawa in 2008 - in large part because of the high level of service, friendliness and fairness that I have always received there. I consider that high standard to be in large part due to the leadership of Steve. An organization is only as good as the top and Steve was very good. It's rare to find that in the business world these days especially at car dealerships.
When I learned he was battling cancer on my last visit to the dealership in late July I sent him a text message to pass on my best wishes and hopes that he would beat that merciless disease. He was kind enough to reply - he was that kind of guy - and had a positive attitude even then when he must have known that his chances of survival were not that good.
I lost my beautiful wife Diane in November 2017 to liver disease (she was also too young to die at age 57) so I know what you are feeling right now. I hope the great memories you have of him - and the gratitude for having had him in your life for as long as you did - will help you to overcome the grief and sadness at losing him.
Take care and God bless. Should you ever want to reach me Kent, Eric and Keith all have my coordinates.

As many others have, I bought my first car, my Hyundai (Excel) from Steve many years ago, which led to a continued love for Hyundai. Steve always went above and beyond when I would call to say I was looking for a new purchase. This trust in Steve came long before car purchases, as he was a regular at our household growing up. He will be missed. Our thoughts go out to his family, Donna and girls at this time. May you find strength together.

My heart goes out to the entire LeBlanc family and his co-workers. I met Steve many years ago as a teenager, when I was part of the skating club with his sister Lise, but it was as an adult that I got to know him when I purchased my first car from him. Steve always went above and beyond to make sure his customers were treated more like friends, and that's why I returned to buy a second car from him years later. He always greeted everyone with a smile and a hello and truly made you feel welcome. My deepest condolences to everyone.

It was 30 years ago I worked with Steve and Donna. He was crazy in love with Donna and the car business second.
I watched from a distance (with pleasure) as both his dreams came together. Steve won the girl and rose to the top in the retail auto business … A dealer principal.
Gone too soon, but will always be remembered as a great family man and a very well respected car dealer.
