It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Alexandra Elizabeth Porter (Corbett), who left us suddenly on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 38. She is survived by her mother Gerryanne, her father Randy, her siblings Annabelle (Cameron McNutt), Thomas (Kayla Desloges), and Emma, and her beloved nephew Theodore McNutt. Her grandparents, John and Betty Corbett and Anne Porter predeceased her. She will also be greatly missed by many cousins, aunts, and uncles near and far. 

Alexandra cherished time with family and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed nature adventures with her canine side-kick Piper and “cuddle puddles” with her cat Marley. She was always taking photos of the beautiful world around her, leaving us with wonderful memories.  

Alexandra was a food enthusiast, always eager to explore new meatless recipes. She enjoyed holidays especially to spend time in the kitchen with her loved ones. Everyone knew that Alexandra was happiest near the ocean and under the sun, so we hope that now she is walking a beach in peace. 

A celebration of life will be held in Spring/Summer 2022 and further details will be shared at a later date. In memory of Alexandra, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
