Nancy and family,
With a heavy heart I offer my condolences to you and all the children. I enjoyed all the great photos Brad shared, particularly over the last couple of years as we all remained socially distanced, and Facebook became or daily read. As complicated as life can sometimes get, the reality is our time on earth is shorter than we can ever imagine.

The road ahead is going to be hard because Brad filled every nook and cranny with his large personality. He dabbled in so many interesting things that became his passion. He loved large, said things like they were, and had such a courageous spirit. Nothing was more important to him than family and that was evident by his love for you Nancy as well as for his daughters, his sons, and his grandchildren. To Brad, this family blend was his greatest joy in life and he talked about everyone of you - all the time!

Nancy and family. Heartfelt sympathies to all of you. Brad had to answer an alarm call st the neighbors. Of course, Tom/Chief had to check on what was happening outside. No break in, just a bird. We had a nice chat with Brad and his daughter, Brooke, had just started JK. Anyway, Brad said that as he took Brooke to the bus, the tears started. Brooke looked at him and said, "Dont cry Daddy. I'll be back". We all had a laugh about our soft hearts and our children. May this memory, make your heart happy. Hugs

As a VP, you sometimes depend on the police to help you out. I could always depend on Brad. He also brought a great deal of fun and laughter to my day. He was great guy. Nancy and family- we are so very sorry to hear about Brad- certainly not a way any of us want to envision our retirement to be after a long career. We both have a lot of fun memories with Brad- from the times Jeremy, Roy and Rob lived in the Pines- he was their "landlord." We met his daughters when they were little and did lots of walks on his trail behind his old house. We enjoyed many stories together on duty back in the days when Rideau Lakes OPP would meet us for coffees on many occasions! Lots of laughs and he had this strange addiction to halls candies back then! We can't forget either that impromptu dance party at your place on that St. Patricks' day a couple of years ago! I hope you find comfort in the good memories and stories.
