Deepest condolences to Ross’s family and friends at this difficult time. His spirit was an incredible bright spot in all our lives. Ross’s quick wit, charm and easy-going nature will be missed terribly. As lovingly noted in tributes by Malcolm Gunn and David Simpson, Ross was a dear and close friend to a group of us since elementary school. We lived and laughed in a special bond sharing both special memories and difficult challenges that life often brings along the way. The photo from a few years ago shows our special group of ‘The Boys’. Ross is shown back row, far right. Thank you Ross. You were a good friend, I know you will be missed, but I also know you’re not too far away! Godspeed my friend.

I was beyond heartbroken to hear of Ross’s passing. As with the rest of our group, we had been friends for a very long time and over the years had enjoyed many adventures. I will especially miss him at our annual get-togethers, when we would reminisce and joke about the past and catch up on our currently activities. I know he will continue to be with us in spirit at these gatherings. Ross’s engaging personality and his strength of character are values that will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to Wendy and family.

Ross was one of a group of 10 neighbourhood boys that grew up together through adolescence to maturity. A journey of some 62 years. Some would argue that when we got together annually for our reunions that we never had progressed out of adolescence with our jokes , reminisces and cheap shots at each other. While we all chartered separate paths one thing was consistent that whatever challenges were thrown at Ross he dealt with and got up. So it is with very sad hearts that we mourn the shocking loss of our dear friend. David Simpson
