Mary was a lovely person. She and my father (Walter McKay) were first cousins. Mary visited mom and dad often when they lived at the retirement home in Rideau Ferry. She always brought some baking, and dad sure enjoyed that! They would laugh and talk for hours about the memories they had from childhood, the adventures that Uncle Leonard and Jack had together, and the laughter would light up the room. I felt privileged to sit in on these afternoons. Such a kind and loving soul.

Your sweet Mother, Grandmother and Great-mother was a special and well respected person. Aunt Mary had an infectious smile and quick wit and it was obvious she cared deeply for her beautiful family and extended family. She had a way of just making you feel special. Allan treasured his many phone calls with her. I remember in December 2020 when we were driving to Smith Falls to pick up our new vehicle, Allan was on his cell phone chatting to her and like a little kid he was asking his beloved Aunt Mary to guess where he was going! His call ended by promising to her when covid was behind us we would come take her for a spin.
I share your sadness as you say good bye to a great Lady.
