Mary passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2022 at the Smiths Falls Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Donald Fairfield, her son Steven and by her parents Gordon Everett and Beatrice (nee Wall). She is survived by her daughter Cindy Merkley, and by her adoring grandchildren Harrison Merkley (Angelica Miller), Meagan Merkley and Lance Merkley. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service for Mary will be held privately for the family. In honour of her, memorial contributions to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
