Obituary of Lillian Mildred Larocque
Lillian Mildred Larocque
September 14, 1926 – July 4, 2022
Lillian passed away peacefully at Stoneridge Manor, Carleton Place, on Monday, July 4th, 2022 in her 96th year. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Larocque, and by her son Keith Larocque (late Carrie). Lillian was the loved Mother of Verna (Roger) Oakley, Bill (Sheila), Sylvia (David) Montgomery, Brian (Irene) and Judy (Stephen) Payne and loving Grandmother to 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and most recently, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Lillian was the daughter of William Walters and Mary Closs and the dear sister of her Walters family Bess, Lester, Doris, Gwen, Jennie, Arnie and Jim, all deceased. She married Ken who was serving in WWII and they raised their 6 children in Clydesville, and later Lanark. Lillian worked many years at the Glenayr Kitten Mill in Lanark and then at Lanark Lodge in Perth until she retired. She enjoyed her many flower gardens, shopping trips and lunches out with the girls, and many family celebrations. Lillian amazed us by becoming familiar with Social Media in her 80's, enough to keep in touch with her out of province family by Facebook and Zoom. Our family would like to thank the Bayshore staff who visited Lillian at home, and the many caring staff at Stoneridge Manor.
Services will be held privately for the family with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lanark Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
In remembrance of Lillian, contributions to CHEO or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
