Obituary of Ian Lenard Fisher

The family of Ian Fisher are devastated to announce his sudden passing at home on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the age of 27. Cherished son of Leonard and Judy (nee Thompson) Fisher, and brother of Rebecca and Emilie (Tim) Fisher.  Ian was a proud father to Bella, Madi, and Grace Fisher and Brent Kehoe. He will be sadly missed by his wife Alissa Purdy Fisher.  Also left to mourn this terrible loss are his grandparents Raymond and Leona Thompson.  Ian will be fondly remembered by his many Aunts and Uncles; Marilyn (Don) Jackson, Barb (late George) Vigus, Joan (Eric) Craig, Jean (late Leo) Craig, Rita (Frank) Fisher, Robert (late Diane) Fisher, Susan (Charles) Grant, Herbert Fisher, Gordon (Susan) Fisher, Debra (Brad) Wicklam, Dan (Diane) Thompson, Raymond (Brenda) Thompson and Andrew (Dixie) Thompson.  He was predeceased by his grandparents Herb and Bea Fisher. Friends are invited to pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m.  A private service for Ian will take place later in the week for family. There will be a private interment at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a trust being setup for Ian’s children (if providing a cheque donation, please make cheques made payable to Judy Fisher), or to Lanark County Mental Health.
