Obituary of Edythe Miller

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edythe Idena Miller (Rathwell) on August 10^th, 2022 at the age of 91yrs in Kingston Ontario.  She passed peacefully with her family by her side & surrounded by their love at Providence Manor.

Edythe was predeceased by her parents Elmer & Alma (Munro) Rathwell; and siblings; Keith, Melvein & Lillian.  Loving wife of Arthur Miller; Beloved mother to Brenda Lyons (Gordon) of Mississauga, Lori Dalcourt (Danny) of Mississauga, & Steven Miller (Susan) of Thorold.  She will be dearly missed by her Grandchildren; David, Jeffrey, Ashley, Adam, Christina, Traci, & Trudi and Great-Grandchildren; Austin, Bryia, Caitlynne, Caleb & Jack.  As well as her sister Elaine McCabe (Gary) of Kingston.  She will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews and the entire Miller family of Lombardy.

She was born in Merrickville and then grew up in the Smiths Falls area before settling in Kingston where she worked at Lockett’s, Elders Beverages, Tompkins & Duffus’s Funeral Homes while raising her family.

Her love for home & family is what she held dearest to her heart and will always be remembered for her quiet presence, her love & kindness to others, her enduring patience and her thoughtful generosity extended to all she met.  She will be truly missed!

Family and friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 12 noon until the time of the service to celebrate her life at 2 o’clock.  Interment will take place following the funeral reception at Rideau Ferry Cemetery.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to CNIB.
