Sincere sympathy to Joe and family. Before Covid we always sat in the balcony at St. Paul’s Church. Phyllis and Joe sat up in the balcony on the opposite side. Her familiar smile and presence became part of our Sunday church experience. Enjoyed chatting during post church coffee time. Your family must find comfort in the strong faith that guided her through her life.

Growing up next door to the Hepton's has left me with some of the best childhood memories. Mrs. Hepton, as I knew her, was a big part of that. When Richard and I would go over she was always quick to get out the paints and colouring books. She would set us up and soon after be down with some home made cookies or a popsicle. She was always cooking up some treat in her kitchen and could also be found sitting in her chair, looking out the window at the lake, humming, and twiddling her thumbs.
Many a sunset were spent with small talk as we watched the colours fade to night sky. Memories and stories shared over a fire and her sweet laugh in response.
Mrs. Hepton made me feel like part of the family, she felt like another grandmother to me.
All that to say her passing has left a hole in my life so I cannot even begin to imagine the hole it has left for her family. My deepest condolences and love to you all. Megan M.

My sincere sympathy to Joe, Vic and your family. Phyllis was such a dear, kind lady who never hesitated to be part of activities at St. Paul's United Church. Her kind letters of appreciation for planned activities were appreciated. Phyllis had such a genuine smile and wonderful sense of humour. I feel privileged to known Phyllis. May we honour her by doing what Phyllis would have done. May all of your cherished memories help to console you as you celebrate Phyllis' life. Blessings

Dear Joe and Vic and family: We loved Phyllis so much. She was a true friend to my mother when she moved to Perth. Thank you for your friendship. Your parents were so kind to have mother & I to the cottage for lunch and a boat ride on Pike Lake. Mom also enjoyed your connection with the Richmond/Stittsville area. With love, Jeannie Davies

For Phyllis's family,
I've known Phyllis for only a few short years, but her love for her dear Everett & family was profound & so evident. She was such a sweet, sweet lady.
Phyllis sent me several heartwarming emails over the course of the last 3 years, after she first purchased a banner for Everett, & this was her last email sent to me on September 22, along with this heartwarming picture. I will treasure it always.
"Dear Sue: We bought McDonald's for lunch today and took it to the Beer Store parking lot- to have lunch with my Husband- Warrant Officer Everett John Hepton which is hanging on the Beer Store pole. Sept.22/22-
Enjoy- Phyllis"
Rest in Peace, Dear Phyllis. Everett will welcome you with open arms & look forward to your lunch dates forever, together, now...

Love leaves a memory no one can steal."
