Obituary of Clyde Edwin Knutsen

Knutsen, Clyde "Butch” Butch passed away in the Perth hospital on Thursday afternoon, August 1st 2019 at the age of 77 years. He was the loved husband of Sharon (Dixon) Knutsen and loved and respected father of Mark and his wife Paige (Baan) Knutsen of Sherrills Ford North Carolina and Derek and his wife Evelyn (Bouchard) Knutsen of Denmark Maine. Butch will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Braden Knutsen (fiancée Shawna Giroux), Grace, George and Lucy Knutsen. He is also survived by sister Linda Knutsen Ryan (Jim Ryan), sister-in-law Valerie Larocque, brothers-in-law Robert (Suzanne) and Terry (Jackie) Dixon and extended family Kim Deslauriers Wylie (Rob). Butch will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by parents Clyde and Mary-Magdalen (Kirsch) Knutsen, parents-in-law Robert and Audrey (Inwood) Dixon and sister Jinnie Knutsen Thomas (Jerry Thomas). Butch worked for 23 years for the Ministry of Govt. Services in Timmins, retired in 1995 and moved to Perth in 2006. He loved skiing in his earlier years and became an avid golfer and lover of everything "golf”. He served as a Ski Patrol Officer for Kamiskotia Ski Resort and official starter at the Spruce Needles Golf and Country Club. Services will be planned for the fall, 2019 and will be announced on the Blair & Son website. Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre, Ottawa or the Foundation of Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth.
