Peacefully at the Perth Community Care Centre on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, at the age of 91, with her daughter, Jeannie and son in law, Gilles by her side.  Evelyn Eileen (nee Leach) Keays was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Arthur Keays (in Aug 2022). She was the only child of the late Percy Roberts Leach and the late Ethel Isabel (McNeely) Leach.  She was the loving mother to Gloria (Rod) McBeath and Jeannie (Gilles) Seguin.  She is the cherished grandmother of Derek Seguin (Sadie Fergusson) and Scott Seguin.  Mom has so many great memories growing up with her only cousins, Lois (McNeely) (late Mack) James and late Douglas (Doreen) McNeely. Evelyn is survived by her sister in law, Nora (Keays) Nielsen (late Leif) and predeceased by sister in law the late Marion (Keays) (late Clarence) Boal and brother in law the late John Harold Keays.  She will be fondly remembered by her nephews Robert Nielsen, Peter (Gen) Nielsen and nieces Barbara (Ed) Rahman and Muriel (late John) Henry, the entire Patterson family and her WI neighbours.

Special thanks to the caring staff of PCCC and especially, Lynn and Stacie for their extra support of Mom and our family right to the end.  Also, thank you to all of the staff at PCCC who made Mom feel welcome and at home over the last few months.

Family and Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 from 9:00am until the time of Evelyn’s funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance of Evelyn, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Perth Site of Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
