Obituary of Marilyn Lee Reynolds

Reynolds, Marilyn Lee

Marilyn passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at age 64. She attended the Ontario College of Art and Design and found her career calling at chef school at George Brown College.  Marilyn was chef at several unique bistro-type restaurants in Ontario and BC, including Jake’s in Toronto, Griffith Island Hunt Camp, Huron Church Camp, and most recently at Fiddleheads in Perth Ontario. Marilyn was a painter and a crafter, working in many media and making and repairing jewelry; her guitar-string earrings were a big hit. Marilyn loved attending local live theatre and music festivals and singing at karaoke and open-mike nights. A favourite performer was Brock Zeman. She gave back to her communities, volunteering at Home County Folk Festival in London and later Stewart Park Festival in Perth. She was also an integral part of preparing and serving at the Perth Community Christmas Dinners for several years. Marilyn is survived by her sister Joanne Reynolds, aunt Margaret Walton, nephew Patrick Payette and niece Katie Payette. She was predeceased by her sister Coleen Payette and parents Estella and George Reynolds.    Please join us on Sunday November 20, 2022  from 2:00  to 4:00 PM at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth to share your memories of Marilyn, and following, at the home of Sue and Steve Tennant, 12 McLean Boulevard, Perth, to raise a pint in her honour.  In lieu of flowers, please make at donation to The Table Community Food Centre in Perth or to your local food bank.
