Obituary of Wayne Eleanor McGonegal

Passed peacefully on November 6, 2022 at the Smiths Falls Hospital at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Dorothy McGonegal (nee McGillvary), her sister Marion Bullis (the late Roy), and her nephew Brent. Wayne leaves behind her siblings Lois Kelford (the late Jim), Ted McGonegal (the late Lyla), and Bill McGonegal (Irene); her nephews Barry (Brenda), Bruce, and Bill Kelford; as well as her many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Wayne loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews; the magic and joy of Christmas was very special to her and she looked forward to it every year. She enjoyed watching her favourite TV shows, old Westerns and daytime soap operas, and sharing the plot lines with her family. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St. N.) on Saturday November 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., with a service to follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95 (7 Main St East). If desired, memorial donations may be made to the CHEO Foundation.
