Obituary of Jean Beatrice Mahon

April 21st, 1937 – January 8^th, 2023

Jean passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday January 8^th, 2023.  She was the loving wife for 67 years of the late Michael T. Mahon; cherished mother of Karen (Rick) Neill, Joan (Hughie) McDougall, Danny Mahon, late Donna (George) Stott, Charlie (Linda) Mahon, Nancy Mahon and adored Grandma to 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Jean will be sadly missed by her siblings Irene (Bud), Mary Theresa (Ken), Joanne (Glenn), Julia (Bobby), Betty (Glen), Kaye (Ken), Gordon, sister-in-law Dorothy and brothers-in-law Bill and Bob.  She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Dan and Kathleen Norwood and siblings Marie, Shirley, Walter, Dan Jr. and Rita.

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Friday January 13^th, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, Lombardy Saturday January 14^th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Those wishing to honour Jean’s life with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society (of Perth) or the Crohns Foundation.  The family extend their sincere thanks to Perth Community Care Centre for their outstanding loving care.
